General Responsibilities:

• Provide musical directorship for the Protestant Service at Vance Air Force Base Chapel.
• Provide musical directorship for a minimum of 1 rehearsal and 1 worship service Lead praise team and/or congregational.
• Lead the praise team and congregation in worship and vocally lead them as required by the Continually upgrade and maintain the music library and songs used in the worship service Chaplain.
• Coordinate all support requirements with the Chaplain or their designated representative.
• Assist the Chaplain or their designated representative in developing the following regarding Music Programs as appropriate: annual calendar of events, Chapel Tithes and Offerings fund budget, Appropriated Fund budget, and core volunteer training requirements.
• Recruit and coordinate volunteers within the music program.
• Be accountable for opening, restoring to its neutral setting. cleaning, and securing any facilities used for music events, rehearsals, worship services, or special services.
• Sing music from a religious music, ecclesiastical, or suitable type publication resource consistent with the nature of the Protestant Service.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in music or a minimum of four years' experience directing and playing for worship services with an emphasis on Gospel and/or Contemporary Christian music.
• Have 1 or more years of college in music (or related field), or equivalent years of related experience in a chapel/church setting.
• Must believe and adhere to the basic tenants of the Protestant Christian faith.
• Be able to sing and vocally lead congregation in worship.
• Be able to skillfully play either a guitar and/or piano.
• Be able to plan organize and lead a Protestant style praise team.
• Be able to sing and play music in keeping with a Contemporary, Protestant style, music service.
