Qualifications:

• Over two years of experience in leading music ministry.
• Ability to play and direct music with a focus on contemporary worship traditions.
• Experience in planning and leading music in a church or chapel setting.
• Proficiency in playing keyboard, piano, or guitar as needed.
• Ability to sing and lead a team of musicians for congregational singing.
• Adequate command of music theory to transpose, arrange, and lead music.
• Mature command of speaking, writing, and reading the English language.
• Knowledge of various forms of music used in different Protestant worship settings.
• Ability to work with individuals from diverse denominational backgrounds.

Duties:

• Provide musical worship for each service, including Holy Days, rehearsals, and special events. Weekly services are held every Sunday at 0900 in Hope Chapel.
• Prepare worship presentations using appropriate software for each service.
• Coordinate all musical activities with chapel staff, using proper forms and ensuring inclusion in the chapel calendar.
• Maintain and care for musical supplies and chapel property.
• Perform 52 Sunday services, 52 rehearsals, and 12 special events, totaling 116 units.
• Arrive 30 minutes before the service to meet with the chaplain, direct warm-up, and ensure musical needs are met.
• Lead hymns, worship songs, and the worship team during rehearsals and special seasonal presentations.
• Recruit worship team members and ensure copyright compliance.
• Organize and coordinate song selections, confirm with the chaplain, and hold monthly coordination meetings.
