About the Role
We are looking for talented, dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our Operations Team, to efficiently assist with day to day operations of the business during the peak season. We are a small but rapidly growing business who believes in promoting and developing people from within, and several Operations Associates have been moved to full-time roles. In addition to future opportunities on the fulfillment side of things, we will be hiring for roles to support the opening of our new store and cafe this spring. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is open to learning and doing a variety of operations-related tasks. 

This is a seasonal role based in the West Loop neighborhood of Chicago, IL.  You will be expected to be in office for your shifts. Shifts typically run Monday through Friday 9:30am to 5pm CT but we also staff some weekends and extended hours during peak holiday season. We are looking for candidates that can be flexible in terms of total expected shifts during this timeframe. That said, you must be available to complete 1-3 shifts during the Black Friday / Cyber Monday (Friday 11/29/24 - Monday 12/2/24).

Compensation: Hourly wage well above IL minimum

What You’ll Do

• Picking, packing and shipping ecommerce and wholesale orders beautifully, quickly and accurately
• Assist with Inventory Control measures such as cycle counting and quality control
• Receive and ready inbound shipments or returns, and inspect items for damages or defects
• Complete any facility needs that arise, including setting up and keeping clean ship stations,  taking out recycling/trash, building setting up simple stations, moving boxes
• Assist with other inventory or fulfillment-related tasks and projects as they come up which could include:
• Creating bundles and kits
• Assisting with picking or putting away inventory for gifting, sampling or photography
• Runnings operations-related errands as necessary (e.g., dropping off packages at carriers, picking up products at jewelers)
• Processing returns
• Labeling inventory
• Training new team members
• Unloading products or moving boxes

What You’ll Need

• Must be able to be on your feet for an 8-10 hour shift
• Must be able to lift packages up to 30lbs
• Must be able to reach high places or comfortable using a step stool
• Must be comfortable following safety procedures during receiving, fulfillment and packing
• Must be available to work during Black Friday Weekend (no shifts will be on Thanksgiving)
