Part-Time Nanny – Bucktown, Chicago

A busy and welcoming Bucktown family is seeking a reliable, proactive, and engaging part-time nanny to support their three school-aged children, with primary care focused on the two younger children. This is a great opportunity for a nanny who thrives in an active household and enjoys helping keep afternoons and evenings running smoothly.

Location: Bucktown, Chicago
Start Date: Flexible (ideally mid-June)
Children: 3 school-aged (care primarily for the two younger children)
Schedule (Up to 30 hours/week):

• Monday–Thursday:
  • e.g., M-Th 2-8 pm or M- F 1-7 pm, F 11-5 pm.
• Friday:
  • Earlier start and end times available
• Flexibility appreciated during summer months and school breaks
• Occasional weekend or overnight hours may be offered with advance notice (not required)

Compensation & Benefits:

• $28–$35/hour (DOE)
• PTO
• Health care stipend
• Use of a family vehicle for driving children
• Guaranteed hours

Responsibilities:

• School pick-ups and transportation to/from activities
• Support with after-school routines and transitions between activities
• Prepare snacks and occasional simple meals for the children
• Keep children’s areas tidy and organized
• Children's laundry
• Assist in getting children ready for sports and activities
• Maintain awareness of schedules and ensure smooth daily flow
• Manage after-school homework 

Ideal Candidate:

• Safe, confident driver with a clean driving record
• Comfortable with parents who WFH 1-2 days per week
• Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple schedules
• Comfortable in a busy, fast-paced household
• Self-starter who anticipates needs and takes initiative
• Warm, engaging, and dependable
• Up to date on flu vaccine requirement
