Running Zone Race Management, Inc. is seeking part-time support staff for running/walking events in Brevard and Indian River County.
This position requires early morning weekend hours, typically 5am-10am on Saturday mornings. There are some evening & Sunday events as well.
Pre-hire qualifications:
· Outgoing personality
· Eager to learn
· Good ambassador for the brand
· Ability to lift items 50 lbs or more (with assistance as needed)
· Reliable transportation
· Familiarity with endurance events (through prior participation or volunteering)
· Basic computer skills (online registration software and Office products)
Evaluation after 10-15 hours training & shadowing
· Punctual & ready to work
· Willingness to help with all tasks
· Basic race day procedure knowledge and finish line monitor duties
*May bypass with prior event management experience or other relevant experience at manager’s discretion.
Race Management Associate Level 1
All above, plus:
· Strong knowledge & skillset for all aspects of 1-3 certain areas of race management team (volunteer coordination, announcing, course setup/design, registration/packet pickup)
· Attend periodic training sessions, including CPR/AED certifications
· Availability for at least 2 races per month (exceptions made at manager’s discretion or due to scheduling conflicts)

Our Community
The founders of Running Zone have organized numerous running and walking events in Brevard County since 2003 and donated proceeds from these events to various nonprofit organizations.
In September 2008, Running Zone Foundation, Inc., a 501 (c) (3) not for profit organization was created to formalize the commitment to health and fitness programs in Brevard County. In 2020, Running Zone Foundation expanded into Indian River County and is now offering 17 events in both counties.
