Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills to support independent retail grocers in Lake Charles, LA.


• High degree of attention to detail in order to eliminate errors, order product, verify product, and stock/rotate product.


• Enjoy working on own with little supervision.


• Dedicated, dependable, and on time to meet needs of independent retail grocers.


• Knowledge of HBC/GM products preferred.


• Valid and clear motor vehicle driving record.


• Ability to use a two-step stool to reach and handle product.


• Ability to work 20-24 hours per week.

Summary  

Ordering, stocking and merchandising all HBC/GM departments in member /retailer stores. Selling surveys of In/Out displays. Working new items and selling displays for contracted clients of Merchandising Services. On occasion, merchandisers may be required to possibly work on a Saturday and/or Sunday.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Order HBC/GM merchandise for member/retailers stores.


2. Check in the entire order. This includes cases and totes.


3. Stocking, Rotating, Pulling discontinued items and dusting all HBC/GM departments in member/retailer stores each time the store is worked.


4. Notify the Store Manager and/or supervisor of any errors in shipping and/or outdated product.


5. Fill out Complete and Accurate Credit Return forms.


6. Make sure private label products are merchandised as directed.


7. Work in new items and replace slow and non-selling items.


8. Develop a good working relationship with member/retailer.
