Reading Specialist Part time in Person 90 to 95 per hour 10 to 15 hours per week

Boston Speech Therapy is looking for a Reading Specialist to join our team for a part-time in-person position. In this role, you will provide individualized support to students facing challenges with reading and literacy. Your expertise will help foster strong reading skills and promote a love for learning.

This part-time position requires 10 -20 hours of work per week, and the pay rate is $90 per hour.

Responsibilities:

• Administer assessments to evaluate students' reading levels and identify specific needs
• Develop and implement tailored instructional plans that address individual student challenges
• Provide one-on-one or small group reading instruction focusing on fluency, comprehension, and phonics
• Employ a range of evidence-based teaching strategies and materials to enhance learning
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists to monitor progress and modify instruction as necessary
• Keep detailed records of student progress and assessment results

• Certification as a Reading Specialist
• Previous experience as a Reading Specialist or in a related educational role
• Strong grasp of evidence-based reading instruction methods
• Familiarity with specialized reading programs such as OG or Wilson is a plus
• Ability to assess individual student needs and develop effective intervention strategies
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility in adapting instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
