The Receptionist in an independent living, memory care and or assisted living facility serves as the first point of contact for residents, visitors, and staff, providing a welcoming and organized environment. This role involves greeting people, answering phones, handling inquiries, and managing administrative tasks to support campus operations and resident well-being.
Essential Duties and Job Responsibilities
Warmly welcoming visitors, residents, and staff, providing information and directing them as needed.
Answering and directing phone calls, taking messages, and ensuring prompt communication.
Answering questions about the facility, resident status, services, and general information.
Managing mail, packages, and deliveries; scheduling appointments; assisting with filing, data entry, and other light clerical duties.
Keeping accurate records of visitors, deliveries, and appointments, and ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive information.
Maintaining a clean and organized reception area and contributing to a positive atmosphere.
Facilitating communication between residents, families, and staff, and escalating concerns to appropriate personnel.
Assisting with transportation scheduling, guest meal coordination, and other tasks as needed.
Ensuring all necessary information is up-to-date and readily available.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Requirements and Qualifications
One or more years of experience in a clerical position preferably in healthcare setting.
Have a passion for caregiving and enhancing the quality of life for our residents.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with residents, families, and staff.
The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain detailed records
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software.
The ability to provide positive and helpful experience for residents and visitors.
The ability to address issues and find solutions efficiently
Must maintain a high standard of confidentiality and honesty.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate and solve problems with minimum assistance.
Must maintain and have an active CPR/BLS during employment.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
