Registered Nurse- Pediatric Dermatology
A Registered Nurse delivers general nursing care and performs procedures in the clinic setting. Facilitates patient triage in person and via phone. Supervises and directs delegated nursing acts to LPNs and MAs. Registered Nurses may also perform clerical, laboratory, and other duties as requested by the Supervisor, Clinic Manager and/or Clinicians. This position reports to the Clinic Manager or Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients over the phone to determine plan of care in coordination with providers.
• Administers in clinic treatment as determined by providers.
• Assists with procedures while demonstrating current knowledge and skill in nursing practice to ensure safe and effective care for the patient population.
• Performs specialty specific tasks.
• Facilitates comprehensive patient education specific to individualized needs
• Ensures appropriate and accurate documentation in patient records.
• Authorizes refills and obtains prior authorizations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a board-approved Registered Nurse Program
• Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Current WI Registered Nurse license
• Current CPR certification
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and be flexible in learning and handling a variety of duties
