Job Summary
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our home health team in DC. Primarily we need someone who can assess new patients, develop care plans, and supervise CNAs, and provide wound care when needed. . Pay is beyond competitive, especially for someone experienced in home health. Training is available for RNs who lack experience in home health. The work is part-time and can be done in addition to your current job.
Must be licensed in DC and able to visit homes in DC.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with other colleagues to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans
- Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects or reactions
- Document any changes in patient conditions and report on changes
- Maintain accurate records of patient care and discuss observations with the supervisor
- Often will provide wound care.
Qualifications
- Must be located in the DC area
- Currently licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in DC
- Previous experience as a Registered Nurse in a home health care setting is required.
- Previous experience with OASIS is required.
- Excellent interpersonal and client care skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Valid driver’s license
- First aid/CPR certification required.
- Recent experience with wound care required.
