Registered Nurse (RN) – Part-Time Weekend Position

Central Gardens is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our nursing team.

Position: Registered Nurse (RN)
Schedule: Every Saturday and Sunday
Shift: AM Shift
Employment Type: Part-Time
Pay Rate: $49- $50.00 per hour

Position Summary

The primary responsibility of the Registered Nurse is to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility during the assigned shift. The RN will ensure that nursing care is provided in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations, facility policies, and professional standards of practice. This position works closely with the Director of Nursing (DON), Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing personnel and oversee daily nursing operations during the assigned shift.

• Ensure quality nursing care is delivered in accordance with physician orders, care plans, and facility policies.

• Assess residents' conditions and report significant changes to physicians, families, and appropriate team members.

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

• Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation.

• Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of resident care plans.

• Monitor infection control practices and ensure compliance with safety protocols.

• Respond appropriately to emergencies and resident needs.

• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to nursing assistants and other nursing staff.

• Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing long-term care and skilled nursing services.

• Promote a positive, respectful, and resident-centered care environment.

Qualifications

• Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.

• Current CPR/BLS certification.

• Previous experience in skilled nursing, post-acute care, long-term care, or rehabilitation preferred.

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
