Residential Counselors work closely with our residents in therapeutic group homes while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries. New employees will gradually assimilate in to the NCYF culture and we will work with you to help you develop your competencies so that you can fully enjoy our collaborative efforts.
If you are seeking meaningful and challenging work that will provide you with experience to help you achieve a degree in social work or another field of human services, we can provide that for you. You will work directly with youth to implement treatment plans, lead/model activities of daily living and support the treatment philosophy of the program, centered around the trauma-informed care model. People who enjoy providing therapeutic care to youth who are challenged by past childhood experiences are most successful in this role of Residential Counselor.
NCYF provides robust and comprehensive benefits to our staff. Our package includes, but is not limited to: medical, dental, vision and life insurance; medical/dependent care flexible spending accounts, 401K, paid sick time, paid vacations, paid personal days, tuition reimbursement and more!

Since we first opened our doors over 40 years ago, NCYF has been committed to providing innovative, high-quality programs and services to children and their families. We have a long history of doing just that. We serve kids that other organizations won’t and offer a variety of programs to meet the wide-ranging needs of our clients. Our programs have been designed and developed to directly meet the needs of the children and families we serve; all of our staff are trained to provide care that is respectful of an individual’s trauma background, and our residential homes accept children and adolescents with the most difficult issues, not just those with less challenging problems.
