The Department of Leadership is seeking to expand the pool of part-time, temporary, adjunct instructors to teach online graduate-level courses as opportunities arise within the Master of Science in Leadership program. Potential courses for adjunct instruction include: LDSP 5050 Values & Ethics in Leadership, LDSP 5060 Communication Skills for Leaders, LDSP 5140 Influence & Persuasion, LDSP 5200 Organizational Culture, Politics, & Change, LDSP 5210 Leading in a Global Society, LDSP 5560 Small Group Leadership, LDSP 5700 Conflict Management & Negotiation, and courses related to other Leadership sub-topics as needed. Each of these courses is designed to equip graduate students with in-depth knowledge about the behavioral science of leadership and provide opportunities to apply that knowledge to real-world situations through directed readings, written assignments, course discussions, and more. Candidates should indicate which course(s) or specialty area(s) they are most interested in and qualified to teach in their cover letter. Previous experience teaching in a fully online environment is preferred.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach online courses in the Master of Science in Leadership program.
Physical Requirements
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force
frequently or constantly to move objects.
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Doctorate in Leadership or related area;
- Significant professional experience in the specific area related to the course;
- A background search will be required of the successful applicant.
