FULL JOB DESCRIPTION:

@Southwest Louisiana Independence Center (@SLIC) is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSW) to provide care as a floater position to local consumers in multiple local Southwest Louisiana areas (From Vinton to Jennings). The candidate must have a valid driver’s license, dependable vehicle with up-to-date auto registration/insurance & inspection, to transport consumers to community outings and appointments. The candidate must be able to work flexible hours.

The Direct Support Professional is responsible for the physical care of our clients who may no longer be able to take care of themselves due to age, illness, injury, surgery, or disability. The ideal candidate must be able to care for our clients and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must be 18 years of age or older.


2. Valid Driver’s License, Current Up-to-date Auto (Registration/insurance/inspection)


3. Working Cell Phone with Data Plan (Must be able to download company apps)


4. Must be able to complete a Criminal Background report and clean driving record


5. Commitment to excellent client care


6. Must have Patience, Compassion, Positive Attitude, and be a Team Player

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Light Housekeeping


2. Assist with Cooking


3. Assist with Shopping


4. Safely transport to community outings and appointments


5. Monitoring


6. Med reminder


7. Meal prep

PAY:

$11.00 per hour (with raise after successfully completing 60-day probation period)
