Ryz is looking for an Email Developer who will be responsible for the development, coding, building, quality assurance, and deployment of email communications. You will build email templates that speak to our customers' needs with relevant, personalized content. You should be capable of building dynamic templates and managing the deployment process. You will work cross-functionally with both our retention and digital teams to ensure on-time execution.
What You’ll Do
- Develop responsive, dynamic emails using HTML, CSS, and Handlebars.
- Leverage template generators to create beautiful responsive emails.
- Work closely with the Retention Team to ensure on-time deliverables with effectiveness and efficiency, including the communication of status, complications, developments, and next steps.
- Set up A/B testing content (i.e. subject lines, pre-headers, hero imagery, messaging) for emails and/or landing pages per campaign initiative.
- Manage the email database, including audience segmentation and list creation/maintenance.
- Be able to work independently as well as collaborate with other members of the retention team.
- Work closely with the Engineering & QA teams to develop personalized and dynamic transactional email campaigns.

- E-commerce/D2C knowledge.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
- Experience with Iterable & Sendgrid, our current ESP(s).
- Experience with Segment, our current CDP.
- Prior experience coding HTML emails.
What You Need
- 4+ years email development (experience with Iterable preferred).
- Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented.
- Comfortable with Excel and other data analysis tools (we use Omni).
- Exceptional teammate who establishes positive working relationships.
- Endlessly curious, eager for knowledge, and likes to inquire, research, and ask questions.
