Job Description - Epicenter Podcast - Chief Growth & Marketing Officer



What you will do


About Epicenter:
Epicenter is the pioneering and longest-running podcast in the crypto space. Founded in 2013, we serve as the historical record of the crypto industry, delivering weekly, in-depth conversations about the technical, economic, and social implications of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies. Epicenter features a diverse spectrum of opinions and points of view from influential crypto founders, investors, developers, business leaders, engineers, and academics. 

Position Overview:
We’re seeking a forward-thinking Chief Growth & Marketing Officer to accelerate Epicenter’s reach and revenue. You’ll work closely with our hosts, editor, and designer to shape strategy, expand our audience, build strong sponsorship partnerships, and optimize processes using modern tools, including AI. This is a unique opportunity to grow a foundational voice in crypto media. This position is initially part time (20 hours per week ca.). 

Growth Strategy & Partnerships

  • Define and execute growth strategies tailored to podcasts: cultivating content partnerships, attracting high-profile guests, exploring cross-promotion opportunities, and leveraging distribution platforms.

  • Develop and manage marketing funnels to increase discovery, conversion, and listener retention.

Content Amplification & Distribution

  • Partner with the editor and designer to create engaging short-form content (clips, audiograms, visuals) optimized for YouTube, X, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other channels.

  • Oversee the creation and growth of regular email newsletters to strengthen audience engagement.

  • Ensure consistent brand messaging across all channels, aligning with Epicenter’s voice and reputation.

Sponsorships & Revenue

  • Lead sponsorship strategy and sales: identify prospects, pitch, negotiate, and close sponsorship deals.

  • Develop tiered sponsor packages and integrations across podcast episodes, newsletters, and social campaigns.

Innovation & AI Implementation

  • Identify opportunities to integrate AI tools into production and marketing workflows to streamline editing, content repurposing, analytics, and audience engagement.

  • Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies that enhance efficiency and scalability.

Analytics & Optimization

  • Establish, track, and analyze KPIs across audience growth, social engagement, and sponsorship performance.

  • Use data insights to refine strategies and report results to leadership.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Collaborate seamlessly with hosts, production team, and external partners.

  • Contribute to high-level strategy and long-term vision for Epicenter’s growth.





Who you are


  • Crypto-Fluent & Passionate: Strong knowledge of and passion for cryptocurrency, blockchain, DeFi, and Web3.

  • Podcast Experience: 5+ years in marketing, growth, or content strategy, with direct experience in podcast marketing and audience growth.

  • Content & Sponsorship Savvy: Proven track record in building and executing growth strategies for content-driven businesses (podcasts, media, or similar).

  • AI-First Mindset: Familiarity with AI tools and demonstrated ability to implement them into workflows to save time and improve output.

  • Sales Acumen: Experience in sponsorship sales, including pitching, negotiation, and managing sponsor relationships.

  • Creative Marketer: Skilled in multi-channel content marketing—social media, email, community engagement—with a portfolio of impactful campaigns.

  • Collaborative Leader: Strong communicator with excellent project management skills in remote, cross-functional environments.
