Girls on the Run Southwest Michigan is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams. We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running. Our program creates a safe place for girls to grow in confidence and strengthen their self-worth through an introduction to identifying and processing emotions, goal setting, cooperation, healthy decision-making, and self-respect, while training for a 5K.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Girls on the Run Southwest Michigan (GOTR SWMI) Executive Director is responsible for the overall development, management, organization and financial solvency of the GOTR SWMI council. This position will report to the Board of Directors of GOTR SWMI and will be part-time, at 20-25 hour per week position. The best candidate will have proven experience in communication, experience-delivery, and organizational skills. They will have a strong passion for people, positivity, fun, and ability to promote GOTR with all stakeholders.

Program Coordination
Lead pre-season site sign up activities including early outreach; generating excitement at the beginning of the school year
Develop and deploy participant registration communications strategy via social media and in coordination with the sites
Communicate to site liaisons throughout the season to ensure they are informed, trained and positioned to deliver an exceptional experience for the girls and parents
Ensure sites and coaches receive all season materials on time including coaches bags, curriculum, T-shirts etc
Board will develop a 5K committee to support 5K day readiness
Partnership Development and Fundraising
In partnership with the Board, develop short- and long-term fundraising plans, which may include special events, fundraising activities, grant applications, and individual and corporate donor solicitation and stewardship
Secure and develop deep relationships with community partners and sponsors through proactive communication
Liaison to the United Way Impact Partners Council
Ensure community engagement and communication is consistent with the GOTR brand and core values
Operational Administration
Ensure that the organization is in compliance with all laws governing non-profit organizations and the Girls on the Run International Membership Agreement, policies, and guidelines
Prepare documents, reports, and strategic presentations to provide Board visibility into program operations
Collaborate with GOTR Councils throughout Michigan and the US for best practices
Leverage data to monitor GOTR SWMI key performance indicators (KPIs) and track progress toward meeting organizational goals
Manage the organization with a business mindset by establishing and implementing efficient systems and strategies
Financial Management
Ensure optimal financial performance of GOTR SWMI through partnership with Treasurer
Maintain spend within annual budget developed by the Treasurer with Board approval
Manage revenue and expenses based on approved annual budget
QUALIFICATIONS
5 years of relevant educational, business or nonprofit management experience
A passion for Girls on the Run mission and the ability to comprehend and effectively communicate issues surrounding empowerment, self-esteem, body image and whole-person health
A readiness to embrace the work of Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access
Outstanding communication skills with a range of audiences and an ability to deliver presentations to large groups, media and other key stakeholders
A willingness to take on a hands-on role with regards to program execution and administrative needs
Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint and very comfortable with technology in general
Must live in Berrien County
Must be able to work from home, as required by the position (laptop provided)
Regular access to a reliable vehicle and ability to travel locally
5-10% domestic travel for national conference (Summit), regional workshops, or other professional development may be required
