FULL JOB DESCRIPTION:

@Southwest Louisiana Independence Center (@SLIC) is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Service Worker (DSW) to provide care Monday through Friday 9am to 6pm (with every other Friday off). This would be for a male with an intellectual disability (high functioning) with no physical restrictions, in the Iowa area. The candidate must have a valid driver’s license, dependable vehicle with up-to-date auto registration/insurance & inspection, to transport the consumer to community outings and appointments.

The Direct Support Professional is responsible for the physical care of our clients who may no longer be able to take care of themselves due to age, illness, injury, surgery, or disability. The ideal candidate must be able to care for our clients and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must be 18 years of age or older.


2. Valid Driver’s License


3. Current Up-to-date Auto (Registration/insurance/inspection)


4. Working Cell Phone with Data Plan (Must be able to download company apps)


5. Must be able to complete a Criminal Background report and clean driving record


6. Commitment to excellent client care


7. Must have Patience, Compassion, Positive Attitude, and be a Team Player

PAY:

$9.00 per hour
