Job Description - IT Technician Tier 1 & Tier 2 Support

VG Systems, LLC is a HUBZone small business based in Quantico, VA. We are a dynamic, expanding company with exciting opportunities in legal support, IT, Project Management Solutions, Application Development, and Business Operations.



VG Systems, LLC is seeking an entry-level part-time IT Technician (Tier 1 & Tier 2) to provide remote IT support to internal teams.



Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Provide Tier 1 & Tier 2 technical support for end users remotely (via phone, email, and remote access tools).

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.

  • Assist with workstation setup, configuration, and maintenance.

  • Manage and respond to IT service tickets in a timely manner.

  • Support user account creation, access permissions, and basic system administration.

  • Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and user support activity.

  • Assist with system updates, patches, and basic security monitoring.

  • Collaborate with other IT team members and departments to support business operations.

  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to streamline onboarding and minimize transition time from staff turnover



Requirements:



  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.

  • CompTIA A+ or other relevant IT certifications (preferred but not required).

  • Basic understanding of Windows and/or Mac operating systems.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

  • Effective communication skills and customer service mindset.

  • Highly dependable and trustworthy.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Able to work approximately 10 hours per week or 20 hours biweekly
