ROLE We are seeking a part-time Organizational Design Consultant to support the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board (FRTIB) in Washington, D.C. Your responsibilities will focus on providing strategic consultation, conducting benchmarking research, and collaborating with FRTIB leadership to evaluate the agency’s structure, identify improvement opportunities, and develop clear, actionable organizational design recommendations.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Meet with FRTIB management and HR reps to discuss structural issues, organizational needs, and strategic goals
Gather relevant data necessary to support organizational design consultations
Conduct benchmarking research on comparable agency structures
Compile and submit a written report summarizing findings from research
Collaborate in brainstorming sessions with FRTIB reps to develop organizational design options and assess pros and cons
Present organizational design option report to designated FRTIB officials to support decision-making
Submit a close-out report incorporating feedback from FRTIB management
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Knowledge of organization design
Skilled in stakeholder engagement and facilitation
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
BACKGROUND
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in organization design required
Minimum of five (5) years of experience conducting research and benchmarking agency structures required
Minimum of five (5) years of experience collaborating with stakeholders to develop an effective organizational structure required
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
