Position Type: Per Diem

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Per Diem Pediatric Speech Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will provide speech therapy services to children in both home and facility-based environments. As a per diem therapist, you will have the flexibility to work on an as-needed basis while helping children improve their communication, language, and swallowing abilities. You will work closely with families and healthcare teams to create and implement treatment plans tailored to each child’s needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in pediatric patients.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each child's needs and goals.

Provide speech therapy services targeting language development, articulation, fluency, voice, and feeding/swallowing issues.

Educate families and caregivers on speech therapy strategies, techniques, and exercises to reinforce at home.

Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and provide regular feedback to parents and caregivers.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other therapists, physicians, and educators, to ensure comprehensive care.

Comply with all safety and health regulations in the provision of therapy services.

Adapt therapy approaches to fit the unique needs of home-based or facility-based settings.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in NJ

Experience working with pediatric patients, particularly in home or facility-based settings, is preferred.

Ability to work independently, manage a flexible schedule, and handle a varied caseload.

Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with children, families, and team members.

Knowledge of pediatric speech and language development, disorders, and treatment techniques.

Compassionate, patient, and committed to improving children's communication and feeding skills.
