Starlight Music Lessons is currently looking for music teachers to provide lessons in students' homes. Teachers are needed for the following instruments:
Piano Teachers
Guitar Teachers
Violin Teachers
Voice Teachers -> To be considered as a voice teacher, you must also be able to teach one of the previous three instruments.

You will be matched with students who live near you. You decide which cities/areas in which you want to teach, and you create your own hours. (The majority of our students are available between 3 and 8:30 pm Monday - Fridays, and some availability on weekends). The occasional student has other availability during the week and/or weekend.) We are hiring teachers who will offer both in-home availability as well as online. We are not considering candidates who are only teaching online as most of our students want in-person lessons.

Positions available for experienced teachers as well as first-time teachers. Our exclusive training program will prepare a first-time teacher who has a solid music background.

This position is ideal for someone who wants to add a few extra students to their current schedule, or for those who can wait a little for their student roster to grow. Students typically come one or two at a time, so you will need patience to watch your roster grow. Teachers who stick with us for at least 6 months usually gain a nice part-time roster of students. We are not offering immediate students. If you are hired you will create a profile and we will recommend you as a teacher for new enrollments.

- OPEN TEACHING SCHEDULES! You can make your own schedule, provided it coincides with student availability.

PAY RATE: . . . . . . . . . . .$50 per teaching hour. For each student that you teach a 30 minute weekly lesson, you will be reimbursed $80/month for teaching + $20/month for travel. This is a total of $100/month per student. 

INTERVIEWS: Interviews will be held ASAP and scheduled with those individuals who meet pre-screening qualifications.

APPLICANTS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:
*Must have a strong background in the instrument you are applying for.
*Teaching Experience is preferred, though we can train the right person to teach.
*Must have a H.S. Diploma.
*Must have a degree in music, or the equivalent education/background. Apprentice teachers must have college-level ability on their instrument.
*Must have experience with children and enjoy working with children.
*Must have own transportation.
*Minimum age 18 per OSHA and client insurance requirements.
*Must pass a criminal background check and/or FBI Background Check.

All teaching positions are independent contractor positions. Note that we are not able to offer employment/Visa sponsorship at this time.
