Overview
We are looking for a Social Media & Content Specialist (Beauty, Salon & E-commerce) with a strong aesthetic eye and modern sensibility to support a high-end beauty salon, stylist brand, and e-commerce
business. This role is not about “ad-style” content. The focus is on chic, elevated, editorial-style social
media that aligns with luxury beauty branding. The ideal candidate can both execute and advise — helping shape what content should be created, not just posting it.
Key Responsibilities
Content Editing & Execution
● Edit short-form video content for:
○ Instagram Reels
○ TikTok
● Maintain a modern, minimal, high-end aesthetic (non-salesy, non-ad-looking)
● Ensure content aligns with brand tone and visual standards
Posting & Scheduling
● Create and manage a posting schedule
● Upload and publish approved content across platforms
● Organize content libraries for efficient workflows
Content Strategy Support
● Provide input on:
○ What types of content perform well
○ Trends relevant to beauty, salon, and personal branding
● Suggest content ideas and directions (not just execution)
● Help connect social content to e-commerce products (Shopify)
Brand Consistency
● Maintain consistency across Instagram, TikTok, and e-commerce touchpoints
● Work closely with the founder to refine look, feel, and direction
Ideal Candidate
- 3–4+ years experience in social media content creation
- Strong portfolio showing clean, modern, high-end editing
- Experience with beauty, lifestyle, fashion, or personal brands (strongly preferred)
- Comfortable giving strategic input, not just following instructions
- Detail-oriented with a strong aesthetic sensibility
Platforms & Tools
- TikTok
- Shopify (product linking)
- Video editing tools (CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, etc.)
$500 - $700 a month
Part-time to start (20 hours/week)
Flexible schedule
Some overlap with Pacific Time preferred (content reviews, feedback)
