Job Description - Software Engineering / Data Working Student (f/m/d), part-time in Berlin, Munich or London

We’re big believers in the potential of technology and data in our investment process. Over the past couple of years, we have actively been building and using technology to source and evaluate investment opportunities. Currently, we are looking to expand our team with a Working Student with a background in Software Engineering and Data who shares our excitement about the mission, demonstrates genuine curiosity and has a hands-on, getting-things done mentality.
System enhancement - continuously refine our deal-sourcing engine by improving the architecture, ensuring maintenance, and optimizing scalability to keep our system agile and robust
Scoring system improvement - extending our evaluation framework of companies and investment opportunities by constantly adding new signals from the market and founding teams. Evaluate effectiveness of current algorithms and continuously fine-tune our models
Workflow improvements - design and build technology-driven workflows with a user-centric mindset to help incorporate data-driven decisions into our investment process
Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Python, NodeJS, SQL and AWS. Experience building ML models is a big plus. Good knowledge of software engineering best practices and the full development lifecycle
Previous exposure and demonstrated interest in the startups ecosystem
Self-starter demonstrating genuine curiosity and hands-on, getting-things done mentality. Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Strong interpersonal skills with an outgoing nature
Fluent in English
