Job Description - Representative Payee - Part-time 20 hours per week - Finance Dept.


CATHOLIC CHARITIES OF BROOME COUNTY
BUSINESS OFFICE II
REPRESENTATIVE PAYEE – 20 Hours/wk.
 

Salary:   $22.05-$24.82/hr.                                                            FLSA: Non-Exempt

 
  1. QUALIFICATIONS
 
  1. Education/Experience
    1. High School diploma with 3 years of experience in accounts payable or other business office functions OR
    2. AAS in accounting with 2 years of experience in accounts payable or other business office functions
           
 
  1. Skills
    1. Proficiency in general ledger software
    2. Proficiency in Excel
    3. Proficiency in Word
    4. Proficiency in general bookkeeping functions such as accounts payable, general ledger data entry
    5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    6. Ability to work as part of a team
    7. Ability to climb stairs, bend, stoop, sit, stand, reach and lift items weighing 40 lbs. or less

II.        RESPONSIBLE TO:  Assistant Controller 

III.      MAJOR FUNCTIONS
 
  1. Representative Payee
    1. Create, maintain and reconcile client ledgers for approximately 350 representative payee clients.
    2. Process electronic requisitions, invoices including agency fees and interest.
    3. Collaborate with team members from other divisions on a daily basis.
    4. Maintain electronic and paper files.
    5. Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
    6. Prepare federal and state mandated reports.
 
IV.       OTHER
                        1.         Assist and backup for other Business Office Functions as assigned
                        2.         Mail distribution as assigned
                        3.         Other functions and special projects as assigned
