Location: 11209 Rylie Crest Drive, Dallas County, Balch Springs, TX 75180 Compensation: $500 Monthly (PART TIME ROLE)
Position Summary
The Resident Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting our affordable housing communities by serving as a liaison between residents and property management. This position is responsible for organizing resident services and events, building relationships with local service providers, addressing resident concerns, and promoting a positive, inclusive, and connected community environment.
You will help foster a sense of belonging while supporting LURA compliance through organized service programming and outreach. If you're passionate about resident engagement, creative community-building, and driving positive impact—this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities
Resident Engagement & Events
Plan, organize, and host community-building events and programs (e.g., holiday celebrations, job fairs, wellness classes, and youth activities)
Develop and distribute newsletters, flyers, and digital communications to promote events and keep residents informed
Encourage resident participation and engagement, creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere
Supportive Services & Community Partnerships
Build and maintain partnerships with local service providers, nonprofits, and government agencies to offer on-site health, education, and social services
Connect residents with available community resources and provide assistance with referrals and service navigation
Coordinate quarterly resident service events that align with the LURA (Land Use Restriction Agreement) compliance requirements
Resident Relations
Serve as a visible and approachable presence on-site to build trust and respond to resident needs
Address concerns or complaints professionally and promptly, escalating unresolved issues to the Property Manager as needed
Work closely with the property management team to identify residents in need of additional support
Administrative & Compliance Support
Track and document all resident activities, services offered, attendance, and outcomes in alignment with LURA and LIHTC requirements
Maintain an organized and accurate database of resident participation and service provider activity
Support reporting for audits or compliance inspections related to resident service obligations
Monitor and manage community spaces, ensuring clubhouses, resource rooms, and other shared areas are clean, safe, and well-prepared for events
Budget & Resource Management
Manage the resident services budget, ensuring appropriate use of program funds
Track expenditures and in-kind donations, maintaining financial records for internal use and regulatory compliance
Source donations, sponsorships, and volunteers to support programming where appropriate
Requirements
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Recreation, or Property Management preferred
1–3 years of experience in resident services, community engagement, social work, or property management
Familiarity with LIHTC and LURA compliance is preferred
Skills & Competencies
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse populations
Passion for service, creativity in event planning, and strong organizational ability
Self-starter who can work independently and in collaboration with cross-functional teams
Proficient in Microsoft Office, email marketing tools, and communication platforms
Experience managing events and community programming is a plus
