Job Information:

· Reports to: Senior Residential Manager or Residential Manager
· Status: Part time – Varying Shifts, Varying Days of the Week (1st Shift, 2nd Shift, 3rd Shift) (Sunday through Saturday, 7 days)
Job Summary: Residential Associates support clients (participants) at either the emergency shelter or transitional housing program. Residential Associates work collaboratively with other program staff to support residents in attaining goals identified in their individual service plans. Residential Associates support the overall facilities management and contribute to creating a safe, welcoming environment for residents.
Duties:
· Respond to a 24-hour Spanish/English hotline for survivors of domestic violence.
· Ensure safe operations of shelter programs, including assisting with office management.
· Coordinate intake into the shelter programs.
· Organize residential programming when appropriate.
· Assist residents with various support services, including addressing basic needs, completing application forms, providing referrals to community services, and identifying employment opportunities as appropriate.
· Address resident concerns and provide crisis intervention.
· Manage and document services.
· Prepare shelter units for potential residents.
· Assist with audit preparation.
· Oversee assigned chores.
· Support volunteers assigned to the shelter programs.
· Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
· Training or experience in the social service field, particularly residential services, highly desired.
· Prior experience in the domestic violence field preferred.
· Interest in addressing social justice issues affecting families and vulnerable groups, and a commitment to the movement to end intimate partner violence.
· Willingness to work with a diverse client population, including individuals in crisis.
· Flexibility and adaptability to the changing needs of the work environment.
· Bilingual Spanish/English required per contract agreements and high percentage of Spanish-speakers in client population.
· Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. required.
· State-mandated 40-hour Domestic Violence training required and can be provided upon hire.
