Job Title: Residential/Commercial Painter
Reports To: Crew Leader / Lead Painter
Location: Grants Pass
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Job Summary:
We are looking for a residential/commercial painter to join our team! You will be preparing and performing professional exterior and interior painting jobs in a residential and light commercial setting.
You are an experienced residential and/or commercial painter who’s looking to be part of an energetic and effective team. You believe in a job done right and take pride in delivering a quality service to customers. A positive attitude is a must!
Responsibilities:
- Paint using a proper applicator (brush, roller, etc.) while utilizing proper painting techniques
- Interact professionally with customers, evaluating requests, pricing projects, troubleshooting issues, and describing work orders as needed
- Identify proper materials and quantities for new and existing projects
- Prepare surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, sanding, or by other means necessary
- Mix, match, and blend various paints, enamels, lacquers, varnishes, stains, and special protective coatings to achieve the desired color, consistency, and drying properties
- Use caulk, putty, cement, or plaster to repair holes and cracks
- Inspect paint jobs for quality
- Perform daily maintenance routines on painting equipment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in residential or commercial painting and/or remodeling/home repair
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to commute between job sites
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs on regular basis

Hi, I'm Stephen Edwards. I grew up here in Grants Pass and have lived here most of my life. I was raised painting and working construction with my Dad. While in Business School at the University of Oregon, I ran a painting franchise. After graduating, I worked for Sherwin-Williams Paints for almost 10 years as a manager and outside sales rep. I partnered up to grow Grants Pass Painting in April of 2021 and in January of 2023 I aquired full ownership.
Painting is our craft, but customer service is our passion. I'm thankful every day for the great team I get to work with and try to never take that for granted. We value professionalism, client care, and attention to detail in our work and we look forward to showing you what we're made of.
