Respiratory Therapist

“The Largest Independently Owned Multi-Specialty Group in Central North Carolina is Seeking a Part-time Respiratory Therapist from 8 am to 5 pm 1-2 days per week, weekdays. No hospital shifts!”

Our mission at Bethany Medical is to provide excellent care through a Multi-Specialty approach from prevention to intervention of potentially life-threatening health problems.

Job Description
(May include but are not limited to the following:)

Weekdays, 8 am - 5 pm, 1-2 days per week.
Observe and monitor signs, symptoms, general behavior, and general physical response to respiratory care treatment and diagnostic testing to determine whether abnormal characteristics are exhibited.
Explain procedures to patients and address their concerns professionally and therapeutically.
Perform duties related to the functioning of the POC testing, quality metrics, and related specimen retrieval.
Perform baseline pulmonary function screening and weaning parameters.
Perform pulmonary diagnostic testing, which includes pulmonary screens, ABGs, SpO2, Peak Flows, and oximetry.
Accurately input data into the EMR to track procedures, supply charges, and other relevant information.
Operate, maintain, and repair equipment to ensure proper functioning, cleanliness, and operation.

Education

AAS from an AMA approved respiratory program
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
BLS/ACLS Certification

Licenses Needed

RRT
CRT
RPFT (preferred)
Or CPFT (preferred)
