Rate of Pay: $ 28.73 per hour

As a host, you are responsible for managing the guest reception and seating process within the restaurant. You ensure a warm and professional welcome, maintains efficient seating flow, and support the front-of-house team in delivering outstanding guest experiences.

What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:           

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• Greet and welcome guests warmly and professionally upon arrival, creating a positive first impression and setting the tone for their dining experience
• Manage guest reservations, waitlists and seating assignments efficiently to optimize table turnover and minimize wait times
• Coordinate closely with front-of-house team, including servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth guest flow
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station, entrance area and restaurant to ensure an inviting environment
• Assist servers with food delivery, clearing tables, setting up tables and replenish items
• Assist with other front-of-house duties as assigned to ensure overall operational efficiency
• Follow hotel policies, procedures and service standards
• Other duties as assigned

Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to:

• Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
• Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
• Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
• Must be able to push, pull and lift at least 25lbs

Your experience and skills include:

• Previous food & beverage experience preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
• Able to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays
