WE ARE

Kona Kai San  Diego Resort is a boutique urban resort located on Shelter  Island. With  170 guestrooms, Kona Kai Resort is home to Vessel Restaurant + Bar, SpaTerre, a marina  and a private club, all located  just minutes from  downtown San Diego. We are excited to welcome a new Seasonal Restaurant Supervisor to our island-inspired resort. Someone who wants to be part of the Kona Kai culture, to stay a while  and serve with a purpose. Come out and be part of the serenity of peaceful waterfront views at our friendly full-service San Diego harbor  view hotel, surrounded by eleven acres of lush tropical gardens and calm water scenery!

This role will report to: Restaurant General Manager, Restaurant Manager, and Assistant Restaurant Manager


Requirements

YOU: 

The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a restaurant to ensure high standards of service, food quality, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction. This role involves supervising front-of-house staff, assisting with training and scheduling, handling customer complaints, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The supervisor works closely with management to implement policies and procedures, monitor inventory levels, and contribute to achieving sales targets and operational efficiency. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support restaurant staff during shifts.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and resolve any guest concerns.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining and service areas.
  • Monitor inventory and assist in ordering supplies.
  • Train new employees and provide ongoing performance feedback.
  • Enforce health, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Assist with staff scheduling and shift planning.
  • Coordinate with kitchen and management for smooth operations.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks. 
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and customer service best practices.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Salary Description
