Retail Assistant (Part-time)

San Marcos Academy is accepting applications for a Retail Assistant. This will be a part-time position. Scheduled hours may include morning, afternoon, or evening shifts and vary depending on the activities and events scheduled each week. This position will require help to stock the Sabre bookstore and work concession areas for sporting events after normal school hours. This position requires flexibility in scheduling.

We are seeking staff members dedicated to the mission of San Marcos Academy and a heart to serve our students and their families, meeting their needs throughout the year.

Job Requirements:

• Cashiering using a point of sale machine
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to assist students in PreK-12th grade
• Receiving, pricing, and shelving merchandise
• Clerical work and data entry
• Availability to work hours in the afternoon and other hours as needed (mostly Mon-Fri, weekends occasionally)
• Flexibility to work in our Sabre Bookstore, Bear Outfitters (uniform store), and Concessions areas

Required Qualifications:

• Computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet applications
• Ability to work well with students
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Flexible work hours

Compensation & Benefits:

• Range is $10.00/hour to $12.50/hour. The actual pay rate will be determined by experience.
