RETAIL CASHIER JOB SUMMARY

Quickly and efficiently assist customers shopping for branded bar merchandise including apparel and souvenirs by: (1)  providing an exceptional customer experience; (2) promoting merchandise sales; (3) maintaining a clean and organized retail display; (4)  accurately ringing all sales into the point-of-sale system and (5) representing the bar’s brand with energy and professionalism.   

RETAIL CASHIER ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

• 
  Maintain a positive, high, well-balanced energy level throughout the entire shift
  


• Have strong interpersonal communication skills in order to greet guests, answer guest questions and address guest concerns in a warm, professional, and accommodating manner


• Keep merchandise displays organized, clean and visually appealing


• Correct and accurate execution of the POS system


• Handle customer inquiries, special orders or sizing requests promptly and courteously


• Track inventory levels, restock displays and report low stock to management


• Assist with inventory counts and receiving new merchandise shipments


• Exhibit consistently dependable, reliable, punctual, and trustworthy conduct


• Provide exemplary guest service on a consistent basis


• Follow all proper cash handling procedures and guidelines


• Complete any and all assigned cleaning duties, including stocking and organization


• Perform all assigned side-work quickly and efficiently

RETAIL CASHIER SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY

• Knowledge of Teamwork and Toast POS system


• Ability to read, write and speak the English language to interact with guests, the public, and coworkers


• Proficient verbal communication skills


• Ability to work under pressure and professionally deal with stressful situations during busy periods in a loud, busy, and crowded environment


• Strong interpersonal skills to provide overall guest satisfaction


• Basic mathematical skills


• Knowledge of daily maintenance and cleaning of venue


• Must have knowledge of all required legal documents, i.e., A.B.C., Health Department, Police, City, Etc.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education

High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred

Experience

Minimum of one year experience in retail, hospitality or customer service required

Age

Must be at least 18 to meet minimum age requirement of the State of Tennessee to serve alcoholic beverages because the position will be for an establishment licensed to serve alcohol.

Licenses or Certificates

Food Handlers Card

ABC Service Certification

CPR certification and/or First Aid training preferred

GROOMING

All employees must wear the proper uniform and maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance in accordance with the Company’s grooming standards.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING ENVIRONMENT

• Must be able to work in an environment with constantly elevated temperatures


• Must be able to work and move quickly in a tight-space environment in a safe manner without disrupting other employees


• Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.
