Retail Experience Associate - Part Time

Seltzer’s Smokehouse Meats is looking for a highly enthusiastic Retail Experience Associate who is ready to join us as we head into a new chapter in our historical journey. We are looking for a Seltzer’s enthusiast who will engage customers, selling who we are and our mission as a company!

Role: Reporting to the outlet store supervisor, the Retail Experience Associate is responsible for greeting and receiving customers in a welcoming manner, providing exceptional customer service. The Retail Experience Associate is also responsible for processing the fulfillment piece of online ecommerce orders and guiding customers through our smokehouse experience tour program.
Weekend work required.

Responsibilities will include:

• Ensure all shelves, coolers, and racks are stocked and displayed neatly and front faced.
• Process payments by totaling purchases, manage cash, and process credit or debit cards.
• Price items appropriately and assist with inventory management.
• Connect with clientele to find products that will best fit their needs.
• Ensure food safety and food defense in the store.
• Process, print, and pack online ecommerce orders.
• Lead guests on our Smokehouse Experience Tour as a guide.
• Assist guests with completion of Smokehouse Experience Tour waivers.
• Inform guests of the Seltzer’s family history, the Lebanon bologna making process, and food safety procedures while in the store and on the Smokehouse Experience Tour.

• Prior retail experience preferred but not required.
• Energetic communicator
• General math skills.
• Ability to give guided tours and create an hour-long memorable experience for guests
• Must have availability 9am to 4pm Friday through Sunday, and some availability 9am to 4pm Monday through Thursday
  • Typically work 2-4 days a week
  • 4-to-8-hour shifts

Compensation:
This is an hourly position with a pay range of $15 to $18 per hour.
This position is currently seasonal with the possibility of becoming year-round based on performance and business needs.
