Rides Operator

Description

Provide guests with a safe and enjoyable experience on amusement rides. Must be courteous, careful and patient with children.

MUST BE AT LEAST 17 YEARS OF AGE, as per company policy.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Maintain ride area in a neat, clean and orderly manner.
2. Must follow ride policies and procedures while operating ride.
3. Must always be alert and aware of safety regulations while operating rides.
4. Collect ride tickets and properly load guests securing safety straps, belts and latches as required on ride.
5. Closely monitor ride and guests while ride is in motion.
6. Help guests off rides after it completely comes to a stop.
7. Perform other work related duties as assigned.

 QUALIFICATIONS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Must be a minimum of 17 years old. No prior experience necessary- this is great to have on your resume!
2. Complete ride training program for two weeks and pass the written test- on the job training!
3. Must be available to work every weekend.
4. Must be patient with children.
5. Good verbal and interpersonal skills.
6. Bilingual a plus! If not that's totally fine.
7. Ability to understand and follow directions.
8. Great customer service skills and attention to detail needed.
9. Must be able to stand for long hours, walk long distances, bend, stoop, and lift up to 35 pounds, must be able to work in the heat and the cold.
