We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Physics / AP Physics Teacher to join our growing faculty.

Data & Assessment: Use data to differentiate instruction and ensure all students are progressing toward mastery in both conceptual and applied physics.
Innovation: Incorporate hands-on, inquiry-based learning and integrate technology and STEAAM principles to cultivate a deeper understanding of physics.
Professional Growth: Demonstrate a growth mindset by participating in ongoing professional development and contributing to a collaborative learning community.
Community Outreach: Maintain open and proactive communication with families, and participate in school-wide events and community-building initiatives.
Responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering high-quality lesson plans that align with AP standards and RISE’s instructional goals.
Modifying instruction to accommodate different learning styles and abilities, including students with IEPs.
Creating meaningful lab and inquiry-based learning experiences that deepen conceptual understanding.
Assessing student progress through a variety of formal and informal methods and providing timely feedback and support.
Maintaining a positive, structured, and respectful classroom environment conducive to learning and student development.
Collaborating with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects, student support, and school-wide initiatives.
Participating in professional development, faculty meetings, and curriculum planning.
Upholding the school’s values in classroom instruction and interpersonal interactions.
Supporting extracurricular activities and other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Qualities
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Physics, Science Education, or a related field.
Strong content knowledge of high school Physics and AP Physics (Algebra-based or Calculus-based).
Ability to differentiate instruction and support diverse learners effectively.
Effective classroom management and student engagement strategies.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Familiarity with educational technology tools and lab equipment.
Commitment to fostering student growth in a values-based academic environment.
Preferred Skills/Qualities
Master’s degree in Physics, Science Education, or related field.
Valid teaching credential (preferred but not required).
2+ years of experience teaching high school Physics and/or AP Physics.
Experience with AP Physics curriculum, assessments, and College Board alignment.
Demonstrated success in project-based or experiential learning environments.
