RN - Coordinator Pre-Procedure Evaluation - Part Time
64hrs. Biweekly, Mon. - Fri. 7:30am - 4pm
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Nurse to join our Pre-Procedure Evaluation (P.P.E.) Clinic. In this role, you will play a vital part in preparing patients for upcoming procedures and surgeries by gathering and analyzing essential medical information, ensuring patient safety, and promoting a smooth care experience.
Key Responsibilities
Compile, review, and analyze patient data, including medical history, diagnostic testing results, and patient self-reported health information.
Conduct comprehensive interviews with pre-procedure and pre-surgical patients to verify history and identify potential risks.
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure thorough patient readiness.
Educate patients and their families about upcoming procedures, pre-operative requirements, and post-procedure expectations.
Delegate tasks and responsibilities to other P.P.E. staff members as appropriate, ensuring quality and timeliness of patient care.
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic medical record system.
Uphold infection control, patient privacy, and safety protocols in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Education – Graduated from accredited school of nursing.
Experience – Relevant experience in field preferred
Licensure/Certification – Current license to practice as Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland, or if resident of a state that participates in Nurse Multi-State Compact agreement, holds Registered Nurse License from that state that is designated as "Compact" or "Multi-State Privilege" using primary source verification and provides additional documentation as required by the Maryland Board of Nursing. RN License from a compact state with a designation of "Single State" does not meet the requirement and nurse must obtain a Maryland license. Current BLS (CPR) in compliance with policy.
