The Bartolotta Restaurants is a nationally recognized restaurant and catering organization co-founded by restaurateur Joe Bartolotta and his brother, two-time James Beard Award-winning Chef Paul Bartolotta. JOB PURPOSE:

Come and join our team this summer with views of the beautiful lakefront at McKinley Marina. As a crew member you will be creating great experiences for our community thru food, beverage, and other amenities. 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet guests, communicate offerings and answer any guest questions in a friendly manner. 
  • Sell and prepare concessions, including beer, popcorn, pretzels; prepare premade sandwiches.
  • Collects payment from customers, performing cashier duties using the POS system. 
  • Ensures that customers are of legal drinking age by checking photo IDs. 
  • Uses proper judgment and when necessary, refuses service to patrons who are intoxicated or disruptive.  
  • Perform general cleaning duties that maintain the quality appearance of the work area; including cleaning equipment and removing garbage to designated areas. 
  • Maintains stock at required operational level.
  • Contributes to the team; exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow employees and others. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Exceptional interpersonal, oral, presentation and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, changing environment.
  • General knowledge of beverage preparation and service. 
  • Ability to complete basic food preparation tasks. 
  • Experience using standard restaurant equipment safely.
  • Interpersonal skills and focus on serving customers. 
  • Ability to navigate situations which may warrant security intervention. 
  • Ability to learn POS register software used by facility. 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be 18 years or older to serve alcoholic beverages.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is:  

  • Regularly required to talk, use repetitive motion, type, and hear.  
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle and feel, and reach with hands and arms.  
  • Occasionally required to bend, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, and reach overhead.
  • Ability to complete orders quickly and accurately. 
  • Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds.
