Route Chaperone (Weehawken - Jersey city campuses)

The French American Academy, a bilingual international school with campuses in New Jersey, is seeking a responsible and caring Route Chaperone to supervise students during transportation between weehawken and our Jersey City campuses,  both in the morning (7 am - 9 am) and afternoon (3pm - 5pm), during the 2025-26 school year. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of students during the bus route.

• Assist younger students when boarding and exiting the bus.

• Maintain a calm and orderly environment on the bus.

• Serve as the point of contact between the school and the driver during the route.

• Communicate any issues or incidents to school administration.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children (school, camp, daycare, etc.)

• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Must be available Monday through Friday, mornings and afternoons.

• Basic understanding of French is a plus but not required.

Compensation:

• Part-time position, paid hourly
