Route Manager – Delivery Department

Location: Hamburg
Starting Pay Range: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 am to 3 pm

Benzinger’s Clothing Care is a locally respected dry-cleaning company known for exceptional service and a loyal customer base. We are looking for a motivated Route Manager to lead our Delivery Department and help expand our customer reach.

You’ll be responsible for managing our dedicated team of delivery drivers, enhancing our customer experience, and leading initiatives to grow the service through strategic marketing efforts.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of the delivery department


• Hire, schedule, and supervise route drivers


• Create and implement marketing strategies to grow delivery services


• Build and maintain relationships with new and existing route customers


• Coordinate with other departments to improve service quality


• Organize and adjust routes to maximize efficiency and meet delivery deadlines


• Utilize our delivery software to ensure smooth operations and accurate communication


• Monitor daily operations, troubleshoot delivery issues, and manage support tickets


• Maintain clear communication with customers about pickups, delays, and service changes


• Contribute to continuous improvement of route procedures and department manual

Qualifications

• Experience in delivery/logistics operations


• Supervisory experience including hiring, scheduling, and performance reviews


• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills


• Excellent time management and organizational abilities


• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with POS or route management software is a plus


• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment


• Sales and marketing experience would be a plus
