Safety Care Trainer

Do you like to teach? Needed 1-4 days a month of help to assist our current Safety Care training Staff. Training Certification will be provided.

A. TRAINING DUTIES

1. Provides new hire and recertification training on SafetyCare, ensuring compliance with training requirements and on-going monitoring of the overall training program to ensure its effectiveness.

2. Works with Human Resources to improve the quality and effectiveness of the training programs at UCP that the trainer is involved in.

3. Review participant feedback, making adjustments to approach as appropriate.

4. Develop, organize, conduct and evaluate training programs delivered.

5. Prepare, organize and distribute training materials as appropriate

6. Attend quarterly Trainer meetings

Requirements

1. Minimum of a High School Diploma

2. Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively present to small and large groups

3. Ability to work as a member of a collaborative team as well as independently as assigned

4. A valid State of Maine driver’s license, reliable transportation with proof of registration and insurance and be willing to use his/her reliable transportation for work

5. Good physical skills, be able to squat, stoop/bend, kneel, climb stairs, be able to lift at least 20 pounds and push and pull against potential resistance

6. Adequate vision, reading skills, writing and documentation skills and hearing to perform the essential functions of the job

7. Ability to maintain assigned work hours, having sufficient endurance to perform tasks over long periods of time

8. Willingness to travel to all UCP sites to provide training as assigned
