SAI - Park Maintenance (on call)

Shee Atika, Inc is searching for maintenance staff to support all tour operations. Maintenance staff will act as a representative of Shee Atiká, displaying motivation, organization, and teamwork. This position plays a key role in supporting a safe and functional environment and facilities for multiple tour attractions.

Park Maintenance will be responsible for, but not limited to the following responsibilities: 

• General upkeep, repair and maintenance of buildings, equipment and grounds at Park and Commissary facilities.
• Ensure work is done safely and adheres to any city, state or health regulations.
• Perform preventative maintenance and winterization on all equipment, vehicles and facilities.
• Work with team members and supervisors to identify issues and implement solutions.
• Collaborate with team members, supervisors and potentially general contractors to address more complex issues.
• Operate company vehicles safely, provide regular maintenance and schedule repairs.
• Set up, install and maintain new equipment, signage, facilities, lighting, security and attractions.
• Run errands and perform other duties as needed to support supervisors, service and tour staff.

• Candidate must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship. 
• Candidate must have a valid state of Alaska driver’s license.
• Candidate must have a flexible schedule, as hours will vary.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Construction, plumbing and/or electrical experience is preferred.
• Physically capable of standing and moving for extended periods of time and lifting up to 100 lbs.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Physically capable of frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing and crawling.
• Enthusiasm for building and supporting an exceptional outdoor, adventure, cultural and dining experience for visitors to Sitka, Alaska.
