SAT/ACT 1-1 Tutor

Job Title: Part-Time SAT/ACT Tutor
Location: In-person/Online in Newton and/or Lexington, MA

Job Description:
We are seeking experienced and motivated SAT/ACT Tutors to join our team for in-person sessions in Newton and/or Lexington, MA. This part-time role involves working directly with high school students to prepare them for all sections of the SAT and ACT exams. Tutors must be able to teach the full test (both math and verbal components) and tailor instruction to meet individual student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1-on-1, small group, and classroom instruction for SAT and ACT preparation
• Create and implement customized tutoring plans based on student goals and performance
• Administer and review practice tests to identify areas for improvement
• Teach test-taking strategies and build student confidence
• Track student progress and communicate regularly with Livius Prep staff
• Maintain a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment
• Stay current on SAT/ACT test formats and updates

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Proven experience tutoring all sections of the SAT and ACT
• Strong command of standardized test content and strategies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable transportation to Newton and/or Lexington locations
• Availability for in-person sessions during daytime, evenings, and/or weekends
• Professional, punctual, and committed to student success

Compensation:

• Based on experience, average starting rate is $30/hour
