Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) Coordinator

The OCEN SGO Coordinator will facilitate successful completion of the goals and strategies of the Ohio Christian Education Network (OCEN) Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) by leading the growth of the program, assisting schools with creating strategies for growth, managing the effectiveness of the Theodore platform, and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.

Reports to: OCEN Executive Director

Hours: Flexible Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm/ 15-29 hours per week

Compensation: Part-Time, Hourly/Non-Exempt; Commensurate with Experience

Location: CCV Office in Columbus, Ohio

Key Responsibilities

• Build internal and external strategies for the growth of the SGO by meeting annual targets for contributions.


• Create strategies with participating schools for maximizing the contributions for each school. This includes maintaining effective marketing partnerships between the school, CCV Communications department, and OCEN SGO, consultation with schools on how to use SGO funds, and communication with their donor base on how to participate.


• Work with vendor to maintain a highly functional and user-friendly portal for schools, donors, and applicants.


• Promote SGO educational events with participating schools.


• Regularly audit processes and suggest appropriate improvements to ensure an efficient SGO system.

• Monitor and maintain compliance with all existing state and federal regulations.


• Other tasks as assigned.

Job Qualifications & Requirements

Skills and Experience

• Preferred experience in school finance, development or student aid in a school participating in an SGO.


• Broad understanding of SGO operations, including how be used to bring additional students and revenue to a school.


• Knowledge of Ohio and US law and regulations on SGO operations.


• Ability to work well with team members.

Character and Spiritual

• Mature Christian, currently attending or pursuing attendance in a local church.


• Agreement with and adherence to CCV’s Statement of Faith and Code of Conduct.


• Demonstrated commitment to CCV’s mission and position on Core Issues.


• Ability to work discreetly with confidential information.


• Trustworthy, responsible, tactful, diplomatic, and focused on building consensus rather than emphasizing differences.


• Maintain a high level of professionalism focused on client/constituent relationships.
