  Competitive pay: $22–$24 per hour

  Consistent schedule: Follows the school calendar with weekends, holidays (unpaid), and summers off

  
  


• 
  Summer schedule: Evening and Overnight hours commonly offered in various settings such as group homes, personal care homes, and in-home care. Occasional daytime hours may be offered at summer camps, ESY, or on weekends.

Interim Healthcare of Scranton is seeking reliable, compassionate, and proactive Intervention Specialists to join our school-based team. This role supports students in Emotional and Behavioral Support (EBS) classrooms, providing one-on-one assistance and helping maintain a safe and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities for the School-Based Intervention Specialist:

• 
  

  Provide direct support to students with emotional and behavioral needs

  
  


• 
  

  Serve as the lead response during crisis situations in the classroom

  
  


• 
  

  Utilize de-escalation techniques to manage challenging behaviors and promote student safety

  
  


• 
  

  Work collaboratively with teachers, aides, and behavioral staff

  
  


• 
  

  Support the student’s daily routines, including academics, transitions, and behavioral goals

  
  

Minimum Qualifications for the School-Based Intervention Specialist:

• 
  

  High school diploma or GED required

  
  


• 
  

  Experience working with children, especially in behavioral or special education settings, strongly preferred

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to remain calm and take initiative during high-stress situations

  
  


• 
  

  Strong communication and teamwork skills

  
  


• 
  

  Dependability and a commitment to the full school year
