Job Description - School-Based Therapist (Part-Time)

Part-time

Description

Christian Family Solutions is a faith-based, religious organization committed to our mission, healing and helping people in need through the ministry of Jesus Christ. As more and more people seek help with difficult issues, we want to be the counseling resource they turn to for hope, healing, and peace.

We are actively seeking counselors who are members of a WELS or ELS congregation and have a strong desire to learn more about integrating Christian counseling practices based on these principles.  As a School-Based Therapist, you will provide dual-role services at Immanuel Lutheran, Bethany Lutheran, and First German Lutheran for the ’25-’26 school year through our School Partnership Program. Our school partnership program is a customized and comprehensive way for schools to assist in meeting the emotional or psychological needs of their students by providing them with convenient, affordable services.

This will be part-time position. Typical hours for this role are generally 8am-4pm, 3 days per week during the school year months. One day per week will be designated to each grade school. As a part-time employee, you'll be eligible for our 401(k) plan and employer match policy.

God has blessed us with an incredible privilege of healing and helping people in need. Click here to view a video about us. You’ll see what a privilege it is to call ourselves “Christian” and to reflect Christian love to everyone we serve.

What you will be doing

Providing Christian based counseling services at Immanuel Lutheran, Bethany Lutheran, and First German Lutheran in person or through a secure video connection during telehealth sessions. In this school-based therapist role, you will not only provide clinical therapy, but also work collaboratively with school staff and parents to support student’s academic, social, emotional and/or behavioral support by creating and assisting with school-based intervention plans.

Quality mental health delivered with integrity is the first commitment we make to our clients. An additional commitment we make is to offer the option of Christian faith principles integrated with a client’s treatment, as needed and desired by the client. Research has proven that such faith-integrated treatment is effective and has longer lasting impact. It is an approach we are committed to delivering, and we train our staff to provide it. You will work in a unique environment where both your professional skills and your faith can grow.

Why work for Christian Family Solutions?

At Christian Family Solutions, you have the opportunity to focus 100% on counseling, as we are equipped with a top-notch support staff who handle credentialing with third party payers, intake process, billing, authorizations, marketing, and other operations. Christian Family Solutions will also provide training in the process of applying clinical treatment within a biblical worldview, regular in-service or continuing education opportunities, as well as regular supervision and consultation.

If you are motivated to assist clients in a comfortable, supportive, and Christ-centered atmosphere with a strong Christian Mission and Core Values, we want you to be a part of our team.

Requirements

  • A Master’s degree in Human Services field (psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, social work or a closely related      field) required.
  • Active member of a WELS or ELS or confessional Lutheran Church required.
  • Willingness to support the mission of Christian Family Solutions.
  • Must have required hours of supervised clinical experience or be working toward the completion of supervised hours, per state requirements.
  • Competence in delivering therapy via different modalities and for various populations and disorders.
  • A high degree of responsibility in maintaining confidentiality and ethical conduct in all matters pertaining to work.
  • Willing to uphold a biblical worldview in the clinical setting.
