Seasonal Agronomy Yard Laborer

Position Overview:

This seasonal position is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the agronomy operations industry.   This position will be offered seasonally from April-November. 

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Yard and Facility Maintenance and Organization: Ensuring the yard and storage areas are clean and organized.  This includes tasks like unloading and moving product, sweeping, and spraying weeds. 
• Material Handling: Assisting with loading agricultural products such as NH3 and dry fertilizer into tanks and trucks.
• Equipment Maintenance: Refueling, greasing, cleaning, and performing minor repairs on yard equipment and vehicles.
• Safety Compliance: Adhering to all safety procedures and guidelines, including the proper handling and storage of materials.
• Operational Support: Assisting with various operational tasks as needed, such as preparing trucks for loading/unloading, monitoring inventory, and preparing materials for field operations.

Education and Experience

• No previous experience required.  Background in the agronomy industry is a benefit. 

Qualifications

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. 
• Ability to follow all laws and regulations.
• Ability to stand, walk and be on feet.
• Ability to bend, reach, squat & kneel.
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Capable of doing repeated actions.
• Effectively communicate with team members.

Work Environment

• Schedule: This is a seasonal position with options through the spring, summer, and fall months. Schedule arranged with Director of Agronomy Operations. Part time, non-exempt.
• Environment: The majority of the time will be spent in the chemical/fertilizer sheds or outdoors on site. The noise level is usually moderate.
• Travel: No travel requirements.
