Job Description - Seasonal Food & Beverage Manager- Kane County Concessions

We are looking for a passionate, organized, and driven seasonal Food & Beverage Supervisor to oversee all aspects of the concessions operations at Kane County Cougars games and stadium events. This hands-on leadership role will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, food quality, efficient operations, and staff performance across all concession stands and hospitality areas.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Oversee the daily setup, operation, and breakdown of all concession stands and portable food/beverage locations.

  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.

  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation of food and beverage areas.

  • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise seasonal concessions staff and stand managers.

  • Lead pre-shift meetings to communicate goals and expectations.

  • Coach team members to maintain high levels of performance, customer service, and compliance.

  • Work with the Warehouse Manager to ensure proper inventory control and product rotation.

  • Assist in ordering food, beverages, and supplies, maintaining appropriate stock levels.

  • Ensure efficient service, high food quality, and guest satisfaction throughout the ballpark.

  • Handle guest concerns or complaints in a prompt, courteous manner.

  • Assist in budgeting, cost control, and reconciling end-of-day sales reports.

  • Ensure accurate cash handling procedures are followed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2–3 years of experience in food & beverage or concessions management (sports/event industry preferred).

  • Strong leadership and staff development skills.

  • ServSafe Manager certification required or the ability to obtain.

  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.

  • Knowledge of point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.

  • Ability to work in extreme outdoor weather conditions to include heat, cold and rain.

  • Frequent walking and standing. Must be able to lift, pull, push and/or lift weight greater than 50 lbs.

  • Required to work flexible schedule, including but not limited to days, nights, weekends and holidays.
