Cedar Memorial is searching for part-time and full-time seasonal employees to assist in the upkeep of the cemetery. This position will have hours Monday-Friday, with hours between 7:30 am and 4:00 pm. This position would start now and would have a need through the end of October. 

This position is responsible for weed-whipping throughout the Cemetery and Funeral Home grounds and other general grounds-keeping duties as needed.   

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

• Assists with other general groundskeeping duties for the Cemetery and Funeral Home as directed.
• Assists with seasonal displays such as setting up, removing, and storing Memorial Day flags; and general clean up following significant holidays.  
• Picks up and disposes of grave flowers as directed and handles related garbage removal.
• Performs other duties as requested.
• Follows safety policies and procedures. 

Requirements

Education, experience, and skills:  

• High school diploma preferred.
• Prefer some experience in general maintenance of grounds and groundskeeping equipment. 
•  A valid driver’s license with a good driving record is required.  
• Must be 17 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work with various gardening tools, equipment, and supplies. Must be dependable and energetic. Must be able to solve practical work-related problems and follow written and verbal instructions. Must communicate effectively and relate to others in a friendly, helpful manner.
