What You Will Do:

The Seasonal Outdoor Experience Specialist is a dynamic thinker with a passion for youth and the outdoors. This person will assist with administrative tasks as well as some outdoor program implementation leading up to the summer camp season. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• In conjunction with the Senior Director of Girl Experience, ensure coverage for outdoor programs, recruit facilitators, and facilitate program as needed.
• Conduct program planning an delivery as needed.
• Serve as support for the outdoor experience team.
• Acts as an ambassador for camp visitors and parents.
• Along with the outdoor experience team, assist in managing emergency procedures as needed.
• Teach appreciation of the out-of-doors.
• Keep records and make reports as required.
• Makes every effort to have a strong, cohesive program to provide the best program and atmosphere for guests.
• Follow camp rules and regulations.
• Helps with when needed at all 4 camp property locations with the largest focus of Camp Gallahue.
• These are not the only duties to be performed. Some duties may be reassessed, and other duties may be assigned as required.

What We Are Looking For:

• High school diploma: some college or college degree preferred.
• Organized, self-starter; ability to work independently or in teams.
• Experience and sensitivity in working with people from a variety of backgrounds.
• Basic knowledge of Girl Scout program preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Must hold membership in the Girl Scout organization and subscribe to the tenets of the Girl scout Promise and Law.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

• Ability to stand on your feet for an extended period of time.
• Ability to lift to 40 pounds.
• Flexible work hours including evenings and weekends as required.
